China Working Visa

 

All employers are required to apply for working visa for non-Chinese citizens or any individual from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan working in mainland China according to law, and a work permit shall be approved, registered with and issued by local labour administrative department of the area. Otherwise, it will be deemed as “illegal employment”, and the local government may take legal actions and impose a fine.

 

A Chinese employer may employ a foreigner if no suitable candidate is readily available for the job in question in the industry, and such job cannot not be readily taken up by local work force in Chinese market, The accompanying relatives of the foreigner working in China (spouse, parents and children under 18 years of age) may simultaneously apply for residence permit with same length of stay as that of the employee.

 

Eligibility Criteria

Be aged 18 or above and healthy

Have the relevant expertise and 2 years of or above work experience

Have no criminal record

Confirm his/her employment

Hold a passport or any other international travel document

*Age and work experience requirements of high-level talents are exempted

2. Application for an Occupation Visa (Z Visa)

3. Application for Foreigners Work Permit and Residence Permit

 

Required Documents

. Application Form for Employment of Foreigners

. Work Certificate (Reference letters issued by former employers)

. Certified highest degree level (education level) certificate or relevant certificate, certificates of professional qualifications

. Certified Certificate of No Criminal Conviction Issued by the applicant’s place of nationality or place of long-term residency

. Employment contract

. Business licence or registration certificate of the employer or related organisation

. Last year's tax certificate of the employer or related organisation

. Health certificate, temporary residence registration in China, recent photo, passport or other international travel documents of the foreigner to be employed

. Any other documents specified by laws and regulations

 

 

 

China Business Visa

 

A business visa (M Visa) will grant normally 30-day stay in China to carry out the following business with multiple entry permissions:

 

. Mechanical after sales team come to China to repair, install, maintain, remove, guidance, training

 

. Bid Winner come to China to do the project guidance, supervision, checking

 

. Foreigner from head office goes to shanghai branch, representative office to have some short term work

 

. Foreigner comes to China to attend the sports event, including coach, athlete, team doctor, assistant etc.

 

Procedure of applying for a business visa to China:

. Invitation letter from the inviting company based in China.

 

 

 

 

China Family Visa

There are 4 categories family visa:

 

Q1 visa

Issued to those who are family members of Chinese citizens or of foreigners with Chinese permanent residence (China green card holder) and intend to go to China for family reunion, or to those who intend to go to China for the purpose of foster care. The intended duration of stay in China exceeds 180 days. (Need to do a medical checkup)

"Family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law.

 

Q2 visa

Issued to those who intend to visit their relatives who are Chinese citizens residing in China or foreigners with permanent residence (China green card holder) in China. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days. (NO need to do a medical checkup)

 

S1 visa

Issued to those who intend to go to China to visit the foreigners working or studying in China to whom they are spouses, parents, sons or daughters under the age of 18 or parents-in-law, or to those who intend to go to China for other private affairs. The intended duration of stay in China exceeds 180 days. (need to do a medical checkup)

 

S2 visa

Issued to those who intend to visit their family members who are foreigners working or studying in China, or to those who intend to go to China for other private matters. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days. (NO need to do a medical checkup)

"family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law.
